"Master Adventurer Award"

Anything Raid Night brought us through Heroic Blackwing Descent in February, and after killing Maloriak, we all got a temporary new title:

Anoukisse, Slayer of Stupid, Incompetent and Disappointing Minions

And a lovely debuff to go with it:

Haha. We all got a kick out of this.

Shiny Happy People

After only three nights on this fight, we killed the Emperors on 10-man normal.

The Emperor(s) Have No Will Left

When these guys died, we tried several blind attempts on Vizier Zor'lok, and by our second night, he followed suit.

Vizier Zor'lok's (Rather Timely) Demise

(Apologies for the chaos and general disorganization of the above screenshot. The Guild Standard was put down randomly, and the boys were being unruly. To top it off, our GM was trying to be the boss of me.)

Now off I go to study the next two bosses, because we generally have no direction, no raid leader in our group, so the "top dog" tends to proceed blindly, and then half the group whines about mechanics being too hard and all the wipes, etc. Because I am a girl and often get lost in dungeons and a variety of other reasons, they never take me seriously when I try to take charge. :/

Old School Illidan

On another of our Old School Raid Days runs, Savage Darkness went to Black Temple, content we had not managed to explore during the Burning Crusade because our guild was fairly young, the players all new to the game at the time.

With Born as our tank, leading the way, and Tiger bringing up the rear with her dancing-tree-heals, we stormed his palace, emptied his harems, and got up close and personal...

Incidentally, isn't the back of Anou's dress pretty? She won that robe (Robe of the Shadow Council), as well as the shoulders, minutes earlier and took it to save, despite the fact that transmogrification wasn't even a whisper on the horizon.

She just likes to look good. She can't help it you know, she's a blood elf! She's naturally inclined to be pretty and attract attention.

Disturbia?

I took it upon myself one day, for several reasons which for now will remain untold, to level an Alliance mage. I brought a Worgen to level 23 then deleted her because I simply could not put up with the way they hobble around. A few weeks later, I tried again with a Human, and for now it's working.

A quest was given to my new 'toon to go kill James Clark, who was wanted for robbery, burglary, arson and murder. That's a hefty list of crimes. The guy was living peacefully in a quiet logging village, where no one was the wiser. Naturally, my new hero tracked him down and took him down like a heartless (yet stylish) bounty hunter.

Buh-bye James Clark

But... Do you see anything wrong with this picture? Little Kevin randomly came into the room, walked all the way around, stood at the edge of the carpet while I slaughtered James Clark, and walked casually out again. Oh, and the romantic Valentine's day wreath totally completes the picture.

Speaking of which, here's another one of those "quirk" photos I like to take, note the heart-shaped candle on the barrel...

Home Sweet Home

Pokeypierce the Insane

Yes, yes he is.

Anou was minding her business last Friday night, running into the bank at Shrine of Two Moons (ya know, Horde-side??) to take care of some bag space, when a stranger poked her. The nerve. Didn't this person know they were poking royalty?

So, my lovely Blood Elf turned her pretty face and she saw a sight that made her do something only an undead would do: her jaw dropped. After several takes and double-checking his tooltip, low and behold, there truly stood before her a Night Elf rogue.

With nary a guard in sight, this Nelf was going nowhere. There was nothing else she could do, but as the saying goes, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

He: Gokk'lok's Shell

She: Elune Stone + Jim Warmkeg's Brew

Matty's Movie Mog Contest

Matty, over at Sugar & Blood, is holding a Movie Mog contest in honor of the Oscars falling on her birthday! First of all, happy birthday Matty! Secondly, thanks for offering up this great idea, and another opportunity for me to play World of Barbies! ;) Or in this case, Lord of the Rings Dress-Up!

Here are the rules:

  • Deadline for submission: February 20, 2013 (any time zone is fine)
  • Submission format: Screenshots of each of your entries, with character name from the movie
  • Mog ensemble: somewhere jot down what you did, so if folks ask, it's available
  • What: Submit three mog outfits, (Mogit is fine) of three characters from one of your favorite movies, or from one of the award nominees this year. For example, Mary Todd, Abraham, and Robert Lincoln would be a good trio. This is not their Oscar or red carpet attire, but the costumes in the films.
It was also specified that the 'mogs didn't have to actually be transmogrifiable, could be a mix of all sorts of stuff, so long as it looked like the characters' costumes in the movie.

Without further ado, here are my entries for Matty's Movie Mog.

Entry #1 Elrond, Lord of Rivendell ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Elrond is wearing a variety of cloth, from poor quality to epic. Resplendent Circlet, Red Workman's Shirt, Vestments of the Sea-Witch, Cord of Reconstruction, Boots of Blasting, Padded Bracers.

Entry #2 Faramir of Gondor ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Faramir is wearing a mish-mash of items ranging in quality and proficiency. Jasperlode Chestguard, Padded Belt, Groovey Legguards, VanCleef's Boots, Crusader's Armguards, Ghoul Fingers, Darktide Cape, Assassination Blade, Satyr's Bow, Guild Tabard.

(Note: The Guild Tabard was designed by me in WMV. Closest in-game tabard if you can't design this one yourself, is the Guardians of Hyjal who's design is closer to the one in the live shot, but has a green border/icon color. This can be complemented with a green cloak, and look just as good.)

Entry #3 Haldir of Lorien ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Haldir, again, is sporting a variety of armor proficiencies ranging in quality. Stylish Black Shirt, Black Dragonscale Breastplate, Black Tuxedo Pants, Recruit's Boots, Vicious Embersilk Bracers, Yojamba Gloves, Battle Healer's Cloak, Reinforced Bow.
