Die, Garrosh, DIE!

Well, the raid team we had—that plodded through ALL the raids from this expansion, some even several times—dispersed after 80-some pulls on the last and final boss, Mr. Garrosh Hellscream. That was unfortunate. And it made me pissy and grumbly. (I would so never have done that cloak quest line had I known!)

Luckily for me, our very own Goblin Priest, Berdine, who's stamina and determination had him raiding pretty much simultaneously with two different guilds, was able to pull some strings and get me in on a regular group SoO, to see the final boss fight.

Yay! Killed the boss. Yay! Saw the end. Yay! Got the mount! Thanks to Berd, and Rook, and the gang in Midnight Marauders for letting me be part of the team for a few weeks! :) /kiss kiss

Down in the Deep

That transition cinematic after Immerseus in SoO... This image is so evocative of the damp and drafty underbelly of really creepy places. You can almost feel it—when no one is talking in vent and you're not in a rush to hit the next boss, that is.

Savage Darkness Completes Throne of Thunder

Someone's been too busy with finding something to transmog that Cricket Cage into. /guilty

So, Savage Darkness has completed the normal ten-man version of Throne of Thunder quite some time ago, and here (finally!) is the evidence to prove it!

Tortos (Sept. 24, 2013)

Megaera (Sept. 24, 2013)

Ji-Kun - oops!

Durumu the Forgotten - oops!

Primordius - oops!

Dark Animus (Oct. 1, 2013)

Iron Qon - oops!

Twin Consorts (Oct 10, 2013)

Lei Shen (Oct. 10, 2013)

Ra-den- geeze BIG OOPS!

Anyway... Here's a link to our Guild Run Achievement. Throne of Thunder, Guild Run, Ten-Man Normal completed as of October 10th, 2013.

Way to go TEAM! Despite all the MIA's lately, we still managed to clear ToT, and in a reasonable time frame! Awesome work! Keep it up!

Siege of Orgrimmar, Meet Savage Darkness

Having yet to complete ToT on 10-man Normal, the guild alternated between it and Siege of Orgrimmar shortly after the patch, just to stay abreast of current end-game and assuage the team's curiosity and blood lust. We extended raid I.D. for ToT and reset Immersius every week until we finished up in ToT and could progress further through SoO.

Immerseus (Sept. 24, 2013)

Sun Rook He (Oct. 10, 2013)

Skittles, Taste the Rainbow

For some reason, I have no screen capture of Norushen "defeated". Sometimes we get so excited we run off and forget to snap it for posterity. Rest assured, he's been taken care of and we've moved on to the next bosses.

Sha of Pride (Oct. 29, 2013)

Galakras (Oct. 29, 2013)

Stay tuned for more Savage adventures! ;)

That Fereldin...

As our heroes prepare to enter a random heroic to easily cap their valor points for the week...

Ready... Set...

Wait! Korgak wonders where Fereldin has gone...?

Busy Hands

One night, during an alt-run of MSV, Octavien just couldn't keep his hands to himself...

Savage Darkness Vs Council of Elders

Though it took many, many, many tries, Savage Darkness finally found the right combination to get down Council of Elders in the Throne of Thunder on 10-man normal last week. Here is the proof!

One of the Guys

Octavien enters the dusky portico of Throne of Thunder. He dusts off imaginary lint from his sleeves—you never know what you'll find in a load screen—and looks around. Polishing off the rim of his tankard, he greets his fellow teammates. "Hi guys!"

 Slurp-chew-swallow.

"So, uh, guys. What's up?"

"Om, nom, nom," can be heard collectively from around the banquet table.

"Guys?" Octavien is starting to feel like that one time, at band camp, when the other little blood elves didn't want him to sit with them at lunch because one of his long, flowing locks was knotted with mud. His eyes narrow at that recollection and he shakes his head, putting that painful memory behind him just as quickly as it presented itself.

Only the sounds of chewing and swallowing can be heard. A grunt catches his ears and Octavien's eyes go from one orc to the other then back again and across to the crouching troll at his right.

Darger: "Sit. Eat. We kill stuff next."

Korgak nods at their leader's wise words.

Octavien rolls his eyes, sits as he's told, and starts the process of buffing up. Orcs, 'nuff said.

Savage Darkness VS Horridon

This one didn't take too, too long to down, it was mostly the add control that was beating the team. So much poison... >.<

But last week, we finally killed the dinosaur.

"Bend from the legs, Darg!"

A Backlog of Boss Kills

After clearing Vizier in Heart of Fear, our progression team went on to kill the rest of the bosses and their manipulative Empress.

Garalon

Blade Lord Ta'yak

Wind Lord Mel'jarak

Regretfully, I either a) forgot to mount the Grand Empress' head on a pike or b) I accidentally deleted the screenshot. Those who know me will likely pick option b. Oh well.

[Edit: I found the photo. I knew I'd taken one.]

Grand Empress Shek'zeer

Bugs squashed, check! Suivant, next!

Terrace of Endless Spring was an easy deal, considering the patch had hit.

Below, Tsulong rears his evil head after we killed the Protectors of the Endless, and as you know, he flies off and Lei Shi runs away giggling, so, naturally there are no kill shots. However, the mighty Sha of Fear fell at our feet as seen in the last screen cap.

Hurray SD! :D

Leap of Faith My @$$

Where, oh where do I even begin?

Sneaky Goblin. What a little trouble-maker. While we were raiding Heart of Fear one night, we stopped for a few minutes to get snacks and whatnot. I came back to my desk rather quickly, and saw our resident Priest being a prankster. Again.

He didn't know I was back, so I watched as he continued with his sinister plans...

Notice in the first image, Octavien is at the top of the stairs. When I went AFK, Octavien was actually on the platform where the stunning-spears are for Wind Lord. Notice also Berdine's comment—I can practically see the maniacal glint in her (his) beady Goblin eyes.

In the second picture, he is placing himself as far as possible down the stairs, but still in reach of my pally to move Octavien as far as possible from the group. I could even hear him in vent, snickering at his own naughtiness.

By the third photo, since Leap of Faith has a one minute cooldown, everyone was back at their desks. The little trickster high-tailed it back up those stairs, leaving Octavien to wonder...

I has no more Faith Berber! /angryeyes

"Master Adventurer Award"

Anything Raid Night brought us through Heroic Blackwing Descent in February, and after killing Maloriak, we all got a temporary new title:

Anoukisse, Slayer of Stupid, Incompetent and Disappointing Minions

And a lovely debuff to go with it:

Haha. We all got a kick out of this.

Shiny Happy People

After only three nights on this fight, we killed the Emperors on 10-man normal.

The Emperor(s) Have No Will Left

When these guys died, we tried several blind attempts on Vizier Zor'lok, and by our second night, he followed suit.

Vizier Zor'lok's (Rather Timely) Demise

(Apologies for the chaos and general disorganization of the above screenshot. The Guild Standard was put down randomly, and the boys were being unruly. To top it off, our GM was trying to be the boss of me.)

Now off I go to study the next two bosses, because we generally have no direction, no raid leader in our group, so the "top dog" tends to proceed blindly, and then half the group whines about mechanics being too hard and all the wipes, etc. Because I am a girl and often get lost in dungeons and a variety of other reasons, they never take me seriously when I try to take charge. :/

Old School Illidan

On another of our Old School Raid Days runs, Savage Darkness went to Black Temple, content we had not managed to explore during the Burning Crusade because our guild was fairly young, the players all new to the game at the time.

With Born as our tank, leading the way, and Tiger bringing up the rear with her dancing-tree-heals, we stormed his palace, emptied his harems, and got up close and personal...

Incidentally, isn't the back of Anou's dress pretty? She won that robe (Robe of the Shadow Council), as well as the shoulders, minutes earlier and took it to save, despite the fact that transmogrification wasn't even a whisper on the horizon.

She just likes to look good. She can't help it you know, she's a blood elf! She's naturally inclined to be pretty and attract attention.

Mogu'Shan Vaults 10-Man Normal

It is with pride that I display the following corpses:

Gara'jal the Spirit Binder

The Spirit Kings

Elegon's Treasure

For once, we are leaving this room.

You have to give our guys credit: They are willing to wipe between 34 and 38 times to get a boss down. Elegon took our guild roughly 4 weeks, and we finally downed him on Tuesday night. But what a feeling! You're sitting on the edge of your seat, 2 people are left standing, it's the last 8k hp left on the boss... and then... ACHIEVEMENT! And you let out your breath and you /squeeeeeeeeeeeee into Vent! (Korgak: "Anou, please clear vent.")

Wipe at 0%?? Are you KIDDING?!

In the above picture, note the time 10:01pm and how many wipes we had at that time, 34. We downed him within the next 20 minutes, so, proof of our team's perseverance.

Edit: I was reminded that I missed one night with the team on account of being very ill. So, say we tack another 10 wipes to these, although that night shouldn't count since the team was all backwards.

A Tale of Forbidden Love

Karazhan's Opera Event.

Barnes, the Stage Manager:

'Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to this evening's presentation! Tonight we explore a tale of forbidden love! But beware, for not all love stories end happily. As you may find out, sometimes love pricks like a thorn. But don't take it from me. See for yourself what tragedy lies ahead when the paths of star-crossed lovers meet. And now: On with the show!'

/raisecurtain
/attacktarget

Tragedy at the Opera
Of course we killed them. But look how dramatically they died this time! (This was on one of our guild Old School Raid Days for gear hoarding and achievements.)

Artistic Deaths

It looks like they planned this, but I assure you it was totally accidental. On one of our Anything Raid Nights, my guild mates rocketed through everything that was trash while I tried to find my way back to them. Since I absolutely have to stop and loot everything, because that is who I am, I happened to notice this lovely set of corpses that I have decided are a single entity now known as Prettius Purpleus Faerieus.

That would be an epic tattoo right there...
