Sliems Are Bad, Mmmkay?

Just read it. I'm too busy laughing.

P.S. "Consiparcy theroy" is a thing.

Harrharr

I bet no one's laughing now! That Tauren is one fine specimen of paladin, right there. Wish the helm would look as good on a Blood Elf! Harrharr is sporting the Paladin Tier 13, but his tabard just makes it. I think it's the golden snowflake on his torso that pulls the look together. Love it. /applaud

Octavien: "Incidentally, love those shoulder pads. /cough"

Maiara the Argent Champion

Well now. If this doesn't scream wicked, evil, Blood Elf Warlock, I don't know what does. Presenting, the über-sexy Maiara, of Arathor's Core Three:

Just gorgeous. I'm jealous! I'm not sure what she's wearing, so please feel free to specify the items in the comments if you happen to know.

I Missed Her!

TWICE!

Twice within a month, I logged onto Anou and managed to miss Navimie! I was SOOOOOO disappointed! I saved the in-game mails until they were about to disappear, then I made copies and tucked them away in my Guild Bank, just because it was that special to me.

I think it might be my turn to stealth into the realm of the Frost Wolf and send in-game mail of my own! ;)

Updating the Look of The Gnome Spy

Hello viewers and visitors! :D

Just a head's up that I've totally messed up my blog roll and healer resources due to playing around too much in the advanced and HTML aspects of my blog! /sadface :(

I would VERY MUCH APPRECIATE you leaving a comment so I can find all my favorite blogs again!

Some I remember the exact titles of, but others I don't!

Anyway, so you've been warned. My site will be changing its look a bit, but will generally stay the same. Except (/sadface again :( ) all my lost links.

Walk Through Silverpine Forest

Again, the urge to travel back to her early beginnings as a Warlock overcame her. It had been quite some time since Anou had strolled through the dark, cool forests of Silverpine. It was possibly so long ago, that the Sons of Arugal still wandered the shadowy woods in search of the unsuspecting drifter.

As of late though, Anou had noticed one strange thing: Each time she flew over the area, a cymbal clash could be heard, followed by something like a spark. Three undead men then appeared out of thin air, accompanying her across the zone. This evening was no exception. However, this evening, Anou was waiting for their appearance down on the ground, atop her noble stallion, Sinister. It was clear these gentlemen sought her for a purpose, something she was curious to find out.

The heavy hooves of her horse clopped against the packed earth as she made the cross into Silverpine Forest from Tirisfal Glades. Anou immediately noted the now-familiar clash and sizzle, and low and behold there stood three distinguished fellows: Lord Godfrey, Lord Walden, and Baron Ashbury. She brought her war-horse to a halt and turned to regard the three men. Not one to mince words, she looked down at them and stated, "you wanted to see me, gentlemen?"

Baron Ashbury: "Keep the conversations curt. I am in no mood for whining or rambling."
Lord Godfrey: "For pity's sake, Ashbury, cover yourself. Your leg bones are popping out."
Baron Ashbury: "I did not bring this wretched affliction upon myself, Godfrey. It was a "gift", remember? Now kindly enjoy the "gift" and shut up."

Anou cleared her throat, looking down at their pasty faces and crumbling limbs, waiting patiently for someone to say something useful...

Lord Walden, catching the drift, raised his voice and spoke: "Southwest of here, near the Greymane Wall, lies the 7th Legion Base Camp. We must search the base camp for battle plans. With the 7th Legion battle plans we will be able to pinpoint all Alliance troop advancement in Silverpine Forest."

This seemed promising. And all tasked directly by Sylvanas. "Walk with me, I want to hear everything."

"Let's get out of this rain, my cloak is drenched."

Once inside, after the traditional "paying of respects", they adjourned to a quiet room above stairs and continued their conversation. Secret missions, hostage taking, liberation of soldiers, all plans worthy of a great Warlock. A great Warlock like her.

She would agree of course, but it was nice having men of such stature practically on their knees, needing her help. Maybe she would let the needy whimpering continue for just a little bit longer.

[Camera two, zoom in, to portrait view of Anou in chair.]
[Anou: /delicate arching of brow and maniacal glint sparkling devilishly in eyes]
[Fade out.]

Turtle-Headed

There are no words able to describe Octavien's dismay when he realized I took this screenshot and planned to make a post on it. He took it all in stride, I mean, he's used to worse from the guildies, but I think he felt this was a betrayal on my part, against the virility I try so much to promote on his behalf.

Oh well. Sucks to be you, Oct.

Angel in Waiting

On one of our last raid nights--because our raid team seems to have crumbled and gone up in smoke, since several of our teammates have had traumatic experiences in real life in the past months--Octavien and Pally waited patiently for the team to arrive at the gates of Hell.

Octavien loves to wear his 'city gear' around, when he's not in mortal peril, of course. He is especially proud of his Master's Hat, with its crisp brim that complements his skin tone.

Featured above (on Octavien): Master's Hat, Brown Linen Shirt, Gilnean Trapper's Tunic, Waistplate of Overwhelming Assault, Black Tuxedo Pants, Dress Shoes.

Featured above (on Pallyblood): The Paladin Tier 2, Judgement set.

Liebster Award—Segment IV, Rules V, VI, and VIII

So. Here is the final installment of my Liebster saga. ;) With the previous posts, I covered rules 1-2-7, 3, and 4. This post will cover rules 5-6-8. Well, sort of  #8.

Rule #5: Nominate 5 – 11 blogs that you feel deserve the award, who have less than 1000 followers. (Note that you can always ask the blog owner this since not all blogs display a widget that lets the readers know this information!)

First of all, let me say it was an excruciating endeavor to find FIVE blogs that are still updated, that fit the criteria of what I like to read about, that are still on the topic of WoW and not some other game while interest plummets due to end-expac blues, and that have not yet (as far as I can tell) been Liebstered. Without further ado, here are the five blogs I nominate for the Liebster award!

Rule #6: Create a new list of questions for the blogger to answer.

Now, you nominees, if you're willing to accept this award, here are my questions to you!
  1. Which is your favorite in-game quest line? Like, one you don't want to miss on any alts as you level up?
  2. Have you ever just spontaneously started to role play; for example, stood around some tables in an inn and offered to take peoples' order?
  3. What music do you chose to listen to, to accompany you in your epic battles? Do you play with the game music on? Or do you mute music and play your own in the background?
  4. Were you a gaming virgin before your adventures in WoW, like me? Or had you already played other games, or MMO's previously?
  5. In your opinion, should Worgens have been added to the Horde's races, or are they suited to be Alliance?
  6. If you were brave enough to display your colors publicly, what symbol or quote could someone see stuck to your car's bumper?
  7. Say you were an über rogue and could stealth past anything, what would you do/where would you go first?
  8. Do you have a favorite companion pet out at all times? If so, is it always the same one? How do you choose?
  9. What is your #1 in-game pass-time? Auction farming? Transmogs? Being trendy in Trade chat? Exploring old zones? (etc.)
  10. Is there a piece of art somewhere in game, a sculpture, a painting, that caught your interest and opened your eyes to the tiny details of WoW?
  11. What real life thing do you tend to set aside for WoW?

Rule #8: Once you have written and published it, you then have to: Inform the people/blogs that you nominated that they have been nominated for the Liebster award and provide a link for them to your post so that they can learn about it (they might not have ever heard of it!)

So, my work here is done. Now I'm off to let my nominees know I've Liebstered them. (Guess that laundry's going to wait a bit longer! ;) )

Liebster Award—Segment III, Rule IV

Ok. As you all know by now, I was nominated for (and accepted) my very own Liebster Award. There are a whole bunch of steps to be able to accept it, and this is where I'm at now:

Rule #4: Provide Eleven Random Facts About Yourself.

So here they are, in no particular order, though that first one is definitely the topmost in importance. :)

  • I think pajamas are God's gift.
  • When my socks are out of place while on my feet, it makes me crazy.
  • I have a 6lb yorkie-lhasa mix whom I named Oliver of the Shattered Sun.
  • I absolutely refuse to buy a cell phone.
  • My favorite snack food is Goldfish, Cheese Trio.
  • Alas, making healthier choices means I haven't had any since February.
  • I have succeeded in getting my carnivorous family to accept eating one fish meal and one vegetarian meal per week.
  • I'm really a girl, but I absolutely HATE to shop.
  • I would miss the seasons changing if I lived where it's always hot.
  • My favorite movie of all time is Lord of the Rings (the trilogy--does that count as one or three?).
  • My desk is always messy--ALWAYS.

Liebster Award—Segment II, Rule III

After having been nominated and accepting my Liebster Award, and completing items No. 1, 2, and 7 of rules, here are the questions Tome asked of her 5 nominees:

1. How long had you been playing WoW when you realized it was not a passing fancy but true love?
To be honest, and this is probably cringe-worthy, but after my first hour of play, my husband and I were setting the table for a meal, and I pointed at the bread and said "tough hunk of bread, must remain seated while eating." I think I was hooked.

2. Are you a screen shot taker and if so guesstimate how many you still have.
I am most definitely a screenshot taker, and at any given time I must have at least 1000 photos in my folder.

3. What is your favorite zone and why?
Dalaran. Without a doubt. Maybe because it was my first really long end-game hearthstone, I started and ended my evenings in Dal. Maybe it's because it looks so civilized compared to most of the Horde zones, and that agrees with Anou's delicate senses. I love the cobbled streets, the Leger Demain Inn, the blazing fire and animal hides in the Filthy Animal's lobby. The daily cooking quests were the greatest! Everything about Dalaran is just right.

4. What are you most looking forward to or dreading about Warlords?
I am most looking forward to being with "my people" on a regular basis again. Just hanging out, leveling, watching guild chat scroll, that's what makes this game my game.

5. Who is your favorite non-essential character in-game? A favorite repair guy or an auctioneer that you always must deal with.
Not one in particular, but, I love meandering through Orgrimmar, saluting and waving at the grunts and guards. They salute and wave back!

6. When I started my blog I was too scared to comment on others. Blog Azeroth Thanksgiving Event 2011 changed that for me. Is there an event or blogger that made you feel comfortable commenting on blogs?
I think it all started with Kirina's Closet. She indirectly inspired my blog, I was participating in her forums, I guess you could say that it opened the door to this whole experience for me, really.

7. Do you have any strange WoW quirks? For example I seem to think the harder I hit the keys the more forceful my attacks are. I know … but it can’t hurt.
The light on the NumLock key has my OCD in an uproar: to see it unlit bothers me no end. So, I sort of stop-and-go to make sure the light is always on.

8. Do you have WoW themed things in real life? Example.
LOL, no. But that example is SUPER COOL!

9. Are you lucky enough to have real life friends or a spouse who plays WoW too or are you bravely going it alone?
My husband's best friend initiated my husband. Together, they initiated his girlfriend who is also my best friend in real life. A year later, being that that was all they ever talked about, I gave in and joined. Alas, within the last year, they have all quit, so it's me, all alone, with my entire guild. ;)

10. Do you still find surprises in-game that you didn’t know were there? I recently saw someone selling a Wine Glass. How did I miss that! My bank alt needs one!
There is always something in-game that I've missed. But I don't go out of my way to find all the cool stuff, because I like the surprises! Incidentally, Tome, each of my toons has one of those wine glasses. ;)

11. Finally, do you think you’ll still be here when they pull the power and turn off the lights? I know I will.
I hope they never do! :O

Leibster Award

"You've been Liebstered", the comment read. Though it took me a few seconds to register, knowing a little bit of German, I realized that this was a good thing. Not to mention that she who nominated me for this very pink honor, was none other than Tome of the Ancient, one of my favoritest of favorite reads. Thank you so, so much Tome! :D

On the down side, having been mostly away from WoW for several weeks now (I am suffering angst due to a very anticlimactic 67 wipes on Garrosh Hellscream without a kill, followed by personal drama in several guildies' real lives, leading to the crumbling of our raid schedule on the final boss in end content), I had not updated my blog, so I missed the nomination! :(

Luckily, the internet is very forgiving, and now that I've seen said nomination, I will respond with all the grandeur and pomp one can muster for such a wonderful accreditation!

There. Now then, isn't that LOVELY?! It will also hold a place of distinction from here on, at right, in my sidebar. Thank you Tome, thank you ladies and gentlemen, thank you. No autographs please. (I've always wanted to say that!)

Ok, so, what does all this mean, anyway? Well, "[..] if you have been nominated for The Liebster Award AND YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT, write a blog post about the Liebster award in which you:
  1. Thank the person who nominated you, and post a link to their blog on your blog.
  2. Display the award on your blog — by including it in your post and/or displaying it using a “widget” or a “gadget”. (Note that the best way to do this is to save the image to your own computer and then upload it to your blog post.)
  3. Answer 11 questions about yourself, which will be provided to you by the person who nominated you.
  4. Provide 11 random facts about yourself.
  5. Nominate 5 – 11 blogs that you feel deserve the award, who have less than 1000 followers. (Note that you can always ask the blog owner this since not all blogs display a widget that lets the readers know this information!)
  6. Create a new list of questions for the blogger to answer.
  7. List these rules in your post (You can copy and paste from here.)
  8. Once you have written and published it, you then have to: Inform the people/blogs that you nominated that they have been nominated for the Liebster award and provide a link for them to your post so that they can learn about it (they might not have ever heard of it!)

[Edit: I keep scrolling down my page and find this entry to be much too long with nothing graphic to break it up. I am therefore splitting this entry into various segments, and spacing their publishing out by exactly 1 minute. Thank you all for your understanding.]

More Sweet T'mogs

Taintedwrath, of Arathor.

Zenkirosunba, of Arathor

I love how Taintedwrath, who is all in plate, has even matched a tabard to his gear. He looks ready to wage a war on everything in his path. With those horns though, I bet his path will be clear for quite a few miles...

The undead (bottom pic), almost looks comical in his transmog, and I think that's what I like most about it. It's fresh, with bright colors, things we're not used to seeing on undead. I haven't often seen that robe, either, which makes it even more unique.

Good work, boys!

Loving Mother

Remember awhile back I'd posted about in-game Disney drive-by spottings? Well, here's a closer look at the sweet deer in the fields of Grizzly Hills.

Bambina still has her mother. <3
